SHA Newsbytes #4
Important updates on topics affecting Select Health AllianceWhat is SHA? Communication and Education Define Us
This month’s SHA newsbyte focuses on defining Select Health Alliance and its benefits to our physicians. SHA is a physician-led, clinically integrated organization seeking to improve the quality of health care in Memphis and the Mid-South. SHA works in collaboration with Metro area Baptist Memorial Hospitals. While improving the quality of patient care, SHA also preserves the independence of physicians, grants legal basis for collective negotiation and prepares for the future of health care and health care reimbursement. SHA is comprised of more than 1,100 primary and specialty care physicians who provide coverage in the metropolitan Memphis area. SHA is supported by Crimson, an IT infrastructure that allows physicians to evaluate their clinical, inpatient and outpatient performance.
Not only is education important in our collective success, but so is communication. We are working on ways to better communicate with you and would like to hear from you about what you are looking for from your clinical integration network. Coming soon you will see SHA visual boards in the physicians’ lounges at Baptist Memphis, Baptist Desoto, Baptist Collierville, and Baptist Womens. Please feel free to leave your comments and suggestions on the board. For those who may not frequent the hospitals as often, in the next few months we will have an online blog on our website selecthealthalliance.com so you can leave your comments and thoughts. Please stay tuned.
