Goals for Individual Patients
Ideally, the patient should strive for:
- HgbA1C <7.0%
- Blood pressure <130/85
- Males 40 or older on statin medication
- Females 50 or older on statin medication

The percentage of patients 18 to 75 years of age with diabetes who had a nephropathy assessment (i.e. micro albuminuria test) or medical attention for nephropathies during the measurement period ◊ Medical attention may include:

Percentage of patients 18 to 75 years of age with a diagnosis of diabetes (Type I & II) who had a retinal or dilated eye exam in the measurement period or a negative retinal or dilated eye exam (negative for retinopathy) in the year prior to the measurement period ◊ |
